Hi, I’m Riccardo, I live every day immersed in the technological challenges of developing new particle detectors, in particular those with MPGD technology. I trained during my PhD with testbeams and data analysis so as to get to know this technology intimately starting from where there was to be touched (even at the risk of getting a shock), up to where the “eyes” of the software allowed to go to reach every single detail and behavior of interest.

To extend my curiosity I have developed simulation algorithms to always push myself further in the knowledge of this technology.

Working alone to learn has made it possible to develop key skills but their implementation only came thanks to small, medium and large collaborative projects in which teamwork proved to be the key to the success of the research carried out.

Over the years, several detectors have been studied, from the classic triple-GEM to the innovative µRWELL of small or large dimensions; both to be installed in experiments such as BESIII near Beijing and prototypes to be studied for the development of new construction, reconstruction and application techniques!

The result of the techniques and skills developed comes with the winning of the CSN-V youth tender in which I proposed a new type of detector, always MPGD, but with construction techniques never seen before and with applications to be discovered.
