Federico Gabriele

Hi everyone, I’m Federico, research technologist of the INFN section of Cagliari.

I am a management engineer and since 2010 I have undertaken my adventure at the Gran Sasso National Laboratories (LNGS). During my experience I had the opportunity to collaborate in the DarkSide and Borexino experiments.

In 2016 I moved to Sardinia to coordinate the activity of the Aria project, a cryogenic distillation column for the purification of Underground Argon, of which I became Technical Coordinator in 2019.

Since 2021 I have decided to stabilize at the Cagliari section. I love my job, because it gives me a lot of satisfaction and allows me to grow both from a professional and human point of view, having to compare and interact daily with colleagues from whom there is everything to learn.

The meeting with my Mentor and the journey undertaken together gave me the opportunity to address issues and aspects that I perhaps knew about, but had never had the opportunity to discuss and explore in depth through a process of personal reflection, but above all by listening and comparing the different points of view coming from my colleagues.

My Mentor was a fundamental figure and presence in my journey and I consider myself very lucky to have had her by my side, because she was able to understand my professional but also personal situation. He was able to listen to me and give me, in a targeted manner, the correct food for thought necessary to continue my path of professional but also and above all human growth.
